Macworld UK has put desktop browsers up against each other in a speed challenge, and Opera 17 came out on top as the fastest Mac browser.
Our Stable stream is now Opera 18. We think you ought to give it a try on your Mac if you don’t have the fast Opera browser yet.
Speed is important, but it’s not everything we focus on. Features are also very important. We’re starting to pick up on speed, and now we’re adding and enabling a lot of really nice features in Opera.
If you want to experiment, we can highly recommend testing our Opera Developer browser. That one has a hardcore mode you can enable to customise Opera quite a lot. Things that go into our Opera Developer browser will eventually find its way to your normal Opera browser, after it has been thoroughly tested and made sure it’s working properly.
