Back in March 2022, we teamed up with Foundation for Interwallet Operability (FIO) to integrate the FIO Protocol in our flagship Android Browser. The partnership granted Opera for Android users the ease of sending and receiving digital currency to and from their Opera Wallet using FIO Crypto Handles. We even made it possible for you to register your own @opera FIO Crypto Handle for free!

Fast forward to today and we now have over 300.000 handles registered! To celebrate this milestone, we have teamed up with FIO and are launching a giveaway today! We are giving away 60,000 $FIO tokens to 510 lucky winners, one of which could be you! 

The Giveaway 

How can you get involved? It is quite simple. All you have to do is follow the steps below to enter this giveaway. They include:

2. Retweet the giveaway announcement
3. Download Opera for Android
4. Register a FIO Crypto Handle in Opera
5. Submit your registered FIO Crypto Handle via Gleam
6. (Optional) Join Opera Web3 discord
7. (Optional) Join FIO discord

The giveaway runs from 21/06/2022 until 05/07/2022. 500 randomly selected winners will win 100 $FIO each, while 10 random winners will win the grand prize of 1000 $FIO each. Winners will be announced within 7 working days of giveaway end, and prizes will be sent directly to winners’ FIO Crypto Handles.

How to set up your free FIO wallet handle in Opera for Android 

In order to set up your FIO wallet handle, click on the O icon at the bottom right of the screen, then proceed to settings and click on Crypto Wallet. Once in the wallet, be sure FIO is an active card. Select your FIO card, then receive, and you will be prompted to “Use a FIO address” where you can register your very own @Opera FIO Address.
