Opera, a browser company based out of Oslo, Norway, cares deeply about user security and data protection. With that in mind, we actively work on improving our internal practices and communications with you, our users.

Our goal with this update is to provide a detailed and specific policy so that we can be as transparent as possible without creating misunderstandings through convoluted legal texts. We hope you will be able to navigate to the sections you are most interested in without having to read through pages upon pages of difficult legal language. This new approach offers you a way to read about Opera products and services that you use or want to know more about, and allows us to be much more specific in the policy we share with you. 

We welcome you to read the new privacy statement and familiarize yourself with the document structure. This policy update does not reflect any changes to our data practices, which remain the same as before. Instead, the update is made primarily to create more transparency and establish better communication patterns between you and us.
