We have an exciting announcement today: After a trial run in beta, the stable version of Opera for Android is incorporating image generation with Aria! 

Version 83 comes with image generation powered by the Imagen2 image generation model from Google. Now, all you need to do is ask Aria to generate whatever’s in your head – a beautiful landscape, an image for a presentation, or even something whacky and implausible like a dog in space – and the browser AI will make it a reality. If Aria’s first try wasn’t exactly what you wanted, you can refine the image until it matches your specifications. You can also copy it to a clipboard, save it, share it with your friends – even set it to be your device’s wallpaper.

In addition to Aria, we’re bringing AI to the newsfeed with Daily Roundups, where AI will offer a curated selection of the most relevant news podcasts to enjoy. Currently available exclusively in the US, the feature also comes with AI-powered audio playback, so you can listen to articles while multitasking or on the go.

Beyond AI, Version 83 and other recent Opera for Android updates have focused on bringing you a more personalized browsing experience. An improved search view in News lets you quickly find your preferred country, with 30 new languages enabling even more local content. And if you’re a football fan, you’re in luck! A suite of new features – including a live score carousel with in-depth statistics, plus match notifications and a dedicated newsfeed – makes it easy to keep your finger on the pulse of the ongoing action at the European tournament.
