Our goal is to help millions of users like you across 38 African countries, and empower them with access to official information about the actual increase of COVID-19 cases in each country, tips and recommendations on how to reduce the risk of infection, and the latest governmental statements about lockdowns per country.

Did you know?
Opera Mini is equipped with many unique features to help you improve your browsing experience including offline file sharing, ad blocker and more.
We recently performed a data compression test to check out how much data you can save with Opera Mini in comparison to other browsers. We did this by measuring the data consumption in the Opera Mini browser when visiting the twenty most popular websites in Nigeria under various network conditions.
The test showed that Opera Mini is capable of reducing some web page sizes to the extent that you can save up to 90% of your mobile data.Google Chrome’s data savings was only functioning on very slow Edge networks, and only provided an average savings of 9%.
Did you know that Opera News is the news app of choice for over twenty million people worldwide and last year also became the most downloaded news app in the world. What is your favorite news category in Opera News?
