I’ve already bookmarked quite a few of my favorite sites and pages since the launch of the new visual bookmarks in Opera for computers. These sites include those saved for planning my next vacation and shopping ideas, as well as some pages I need frequently at work.

We all have different habits, so one of the coolest things about Opera is that it can fit in with the way you browse the web. Today, I’d like to highlight three different ways to open bookmarks in Opera – choose one that works best for you!

How to open bookmarks in Opera

From the Start page

When you launch Opera or open a new tab, you are automatically directed to the start page which shows Speed Dial, bookmarks, and the Discover feature. Remember that if you want to get back to the Speed Dial while you’re viewing a website, just click the Speed Dial icon to the left of the combined address and search bar to go back to the start page.

From Opera’s main menu

If you prefer the classic hierarchical bookmark view, or you need to get to a bookmarked page very quickly, you can open bookmarks in Opera as a list from the menu in one click.

Using keyboard shortcuts

For those of you who frequently use keyboard shortcuts, you can get to sites you’ve bookmarked with the following keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + B for Windows or Alt + ⌘ + B for Mac.

I can not save a new bookmark directly to a specific sub-folder of my favorite folders like the old nice opera… ctl+d opened the last played. On the top of the folder had the choise of bookmarking the current address…

Add to watch list : I can not see my lists. I can not have any choise for them.

Can we have the adjustment of opening new bookmarks in a next tab (not using the opened one,so not to go back and reload etc…), and new tabs next to old or in the end?

  • thank you..this is a good information for me

Hey, could anybody at opera please help getting my bookmark collection back which I cannot access after upgrading to OPERA 25. It doesn’t seem as if Opera would make any progress in rebuilding its bookmark synchronization.
Since a very long time this is all I get:
“Don’t worry – your bookmarks are safe!
We’re working to improve synchronization and make it more integrated with our next generation of browsers.” which is ridiculous.
After eleven years I fear I’ll have to switch to Safari or Firefox if nothing happens in a very short time.

I used to be able to open a whole folder of bookmarks by typing a keyword. Can’t find this option anymore in Opera 37. Is there a way to get this feature back? Nickname it was called.
