Opera 135 Stable
Hi, Dear Opera Users!
We’ve just promoted Opera 135 to Stable! Here’s what’s new: a Chromium bump, a big round of stability and performance work, and a few user-facing improvements.
Key highlights
- Updated Chromium to 151.0.7922.138
- Big round of crash and stability fixes across the browser
- Fixed MV2 extensions being blocked on every browser startup
- Fixed sessions being lost on browser restart
- Reduced overall browser lag and improved performance during panel resize
- Themes no longer freeze when the browser window loses focus
- Fixed auto Picture-in-Picture shrinking every time it was triggered until it reached the smallest size
- Added drag-and-drop for creating tab islands, with a smooth animation and a new “New tab in tab island” button
- Theme Gallery now adjusts to your monitor size
- Enabled Web Audio direct AAC decoding by default
- Fixed the “Make Opera Yours” widget showing to existing users after they’d completed onboarding
