We’re happy to announce that we’re starting a brand new cycle of Opera development.

It’s based on chromium 79.0.3921.0.

History panel in the sidebar

Some time ago, we introduced a brand new look and layout for bookmarks.

We’re expanding that design to your History page in the sidebar, which will now open in a panel. From that panel, you’ll be able to easily get back to previously visited websites, clear your browsing data and reopen your recently closed tabs. There’s also a search field on top to help you find the exact page you’re looking for. Choosing the Show full History view at the bottom will take you directly to the internal History page.

Known issues:

• There are no Linux packages for this release
• Settings page might crash

There update includes some bugfixes. They can be found in the changelog.
