We’ve rolled out a new Opera Stable release, version 133.0.5932.60, with a security boost for copied text and new Start Page image search feature landing in Early Bird.

Paste Protect

We’ve enabled #paste-protect on all streams! his feature checks copied text for malicious content before you paste it, helping keep you safe from clipboard-based attacks.

Stability

• Fixed crash when using the tab cycler with playing audio
• Fixed crash when opening History from the system menu on Mac after closing split screen and restarting

Vertical Tabs (available in Early Bird)

• Fixed missing gap between the last tab and the New Tab button
• Fixed default size of pinned tabs
• Fixed uneven spacing above and below pinned tabs
• Made the strip header spacer draggable for window movement
• Fixed the strip not auto-scrolling when dragging a tab to the bottom
• Fixed the strip scrolling up and down when adding new tabs
• Fixed tab tooltip not showing when the tab is small
• Fixed missing shadow under the collapsed tab island handle
• Removed the close (X) button on hovered tabs when the panel is collapsed
• Restored the close (X) button on hover when the panel is collapsed
• Aligned the position of the close (X) icon between Mac and Windows
• Fixed accessibility name conflict between the Expand and Collapse panel buttons
• Fixed spacing between Extensions and AI Chat

Google Lens (available in Early Bird)

We’ve enabled Google Lens image search in Early Bird! You can now:

• Open the Google Lens dialog to search the web by image
• Upload a file, paste an image, or search by image URL
