Opera Developer version 127 is here!
It is running on Chromium version: 142.0.7444.177.

This release introduces a major rewrite of opera://settings, alongside many stability fixes, UI improvements, and feature updates across the browser. Because of the scale of the Settings changes, some issues may still be present.

What’s new?

• Reorganization of pages added to opera://settings
• Fixed multiple crashes related to: Split Screen, window closing, video encoding and extension installation
• Animations added for Split Screen creation, reordering, and drag & drop
• Improved Split Screen interactions and keyboard shortcuts
• Fixed multiple Split Screen layout and drag & drop issues
• Added Tab Island names to History, menus, and folder creation
• Numerous fixes for tooltips, spacing, shadows, and dark mode inconsistencies
• DevTools checkbox visibility restored
• Website compatibility fixes (including Sony domains)
• Translation and localization corrections

Known issues:

• Opening VPN Pro in settings from the VPN badge dialog may lead to an empty page
• Some opera://settings sections may behave incorrectly due to the ongoing Settings rewrite
