Opera Air update improves performance, lets you skip introductions to get right to the exercises

Hey all!
Opera Air has only been live for a month now, but we’re already adding quality of life updates to make the first browser centered around the concept of mindfulness more mindful than ever.
One thing that we know our users love about Opera Air is its sleek, modern UI, with the frosted glass adapting to the background of the website you’re on to create a relaxing browsing environment. We’re happy to report that we’ve engineered some changes to make these effects less demanding on your CPU, thereby freeing up even more computing power and boosting your device’s performance.
Elsewhere, just a week ago the exercises in Take a Break got new language options for the voice guides and subtitles. We also added a progress indicator to help you keep track of time. Now, we’re adding an option to let you skip the introductions of the Take a Break exercises altogether.
Each Take a Break exercise starts with a short introduction in which your selected voice guide welcomes you as you listen to soothing music. (Currently you can select between Emma and Alex in English, Anna and Paweł in Polish, Julia and Stefan in German, and Juliana and Lucas in Portuguese.) It’s a nice way to help you relax as you ease into a breathing exercise or a meditation session.
But if you use the exercises frequently – which, by the way, is recommended for you to maximize their benefits – it might be handy to be able to skip that brief intro every now and then, particularly if you’re crunched for time.
Now there’s a new button in each exercise that allows you to skip the introduction and jump right into your chosen neck stretch or Full Body Scan. It will appear while your voice guide is introducing the exercise and telling you how to prepare before disappearing once it gets underway. Or, if you prefer, you can also go to the Take a Break settings – accessible in the top-right corner of the pop-out window – to set Opera Air to automatically skip them every time.
As with our last update, this one was added based on your feedback, so please keep it coming! We’ve already got another tweak based on your suggestions in the works that will help you see your browser in a whole new light, if you know what we mean. And if you haven’t tried out Opera Air yet, download the browser designed to make you feel better here.
