Velocity Conference talk about Opera and ad blocking
Last week I gave the opening keynote at Velocity conference in Santa Clara, USA, which is the biggest conference focusing on speed and performance – two things Opera is famous for.
I presented about how Opera implements ad blocking across our range of browsers – for desktop, for Android, for Windows Phone and for iOS – why consumers choose this form of digital self-defence against terribly sluggish sites and huge data consumption, and suggest how the advertising industry might improve.
If you’d like to know more about Opera’s position on ad blockers, see this post It’s time to take a stand on ad blockers from our Head of Opera for computers.
Why are people demanding #adblockers? We join this year's #velocityconf with @brucel. https://t.co/pZamZYISMa
