Internet habits from TNS research: How Russian are you?
Last week, we ran a series of tweets about some interesting internet habits of Russians based on TNS research. A few of our Twitter followers found out that they have the same habits. Now, it’s your turn to find out how Russian you are!
The first thing Russians do right after waking up and stretching their arms is get online on their mobile phone – like the rest of the world. And, of course, breakfast and a shower can always wait a little bit.
Russian men seem to be too shy or too busy to use Instagram. Only 22% regularly use the app every month, which is way behind Russian womens’ activity at 42%.
Based on TNS’s research, Russians use six apps daily, on average. And, over 40% of connected Russians use apps every day.
One third of Russians spend most of their time on social networks. After that, they tend to watch videos on their computers and play games on their mobile devices.
On average, Russians spend 80 min. browsing the mobile web daily, which is below the global average of 109 min. TNS’s research also showed that the time Russians spend surfing the mobile internet is about half of time they spent on a computer.
Tell us if you have the same web habits in the comments below. And, if you do, then you might want to research your family tree. Who knows, maybe you will find some Russians there.
