To celebrate Fat Thursday in Poland, we allow ourselves to eat as many donuts as possible once a year. I’ve eaten six donuts so far, but that’s still not enough to stop me from giving you an updated Opera beta build.

Today we have updated Chromium to version 41.0.2272.43 and fixed several other issues, for example using the wrong search engine in private windows and (no longer) an empty Accept Language list in the settings. Translations should now also be more complete, as we received a batch of fresh strings recently.

Friendly reminder, this is a stabilization branch, so don’t expect new things here – this is purely for stabilization which means; bugfixing, Chromium intakes and testing. A detailed list of changes is available at the bottom of this post, in our changelog. Have fun testing, and try to not eat too much today or next week (whenever you are celebrating “Fat Thursday”)!

The full list of fixes is available in the changelog.

Hi Marcin, thanks for the update, and fixes!

    • Marcin Mitek

I will burn it on the way home on my bicycle. I hope.

I hope you have a long ride home then 😛 Thanks for the update!

        • Marcin Mitek

It’s 9 km one way. And on two wheels (fixie). I am not as extreme as Ruari 🙂

          • reesmichael1

My dad used to ride 11 miles one way (18 km for you Europeans 😛 ). Also, is @ruario a unicyclist? He’d fit in perfectly here at Harvey Mudd College!

          • Marcin Mitek

            He is. Proof

      • Vux777

        one or two wheels? 😛

  • Thanks for fixing 60fps YouTube feature! 🙂

why not have a home page button

  • Are there plans to add syncing support to more stuff? I’m mainly interested in Bookmarks (already present in Beta), Opened Tabs (also already “in the works”), Passwords (I’d really love to have my passwords securely synced across my multiple devices), History (also a plus to check stuff that I’ve already seen on another device), and installed extensions (to keep everything similar across my multiple browsing instances). Are these things in the horizon? Or you don’t intend to go beyond Bookmarks and Opened Tabs anytime soon?

    1. Speed dial thumbnails do not load automatically on startup, have to refresh.
    2. Sometimes when mouse is over text, cursor is blinking (between select text and simple arrow). Also, reload button(blinking between reload and cross after loading complete) and page icon in tab blinking too.
