Get free books from Worldreader and Microsoft Math on Opera Mini
Mobile plays a major role in enabling people access to content online – whether you’re researching, learning new things, checking the weather or catching up with friends and family. With the Opera Mini mobile browser, we’re helping to bring as many people online as possible by alleviating barriers like data limits and poor connectivity.
We’re taking this commitment a step forward in Africa. We’ve partnered with Worldreader and Microsoft to help spread free books and learning materials.
More than 15,000 digital books
Worldreader is a non-profit organization that provides children and families across Africa with access to digital books, many of which are free of charge.
Now, it’s even easier to access these reading materials. Students in 32 countries across the continent can access read.worldreader.org with just one click. It’s built into one of the Speed Dial entries in Opera Mini.
Interactive math learning materials
Math homework just became a whole lot more personalized and interesting thanks to Microsoft Math. This app, from one of Opera’s long-term partners, aims to motivate students to learn independently, help teachers keep track of skills and create better interactions with students.
Students and teachers alike can now access this service through Opera Mini’s Speed Dial in Tanzania and South Africa.
