Hi Marcin, thanks – especially for the nasty bug fix πŸ˜‰

  • Matheus Bombonato

And what about an update for 34? More than 2 weeks without updates. Those crashes on the internal pages/extensions are annoying πŸ™

And I hope the DNA-41253 cover the width size too.

    • Vux777

      dev is also updated

    • Leonardo Gomes

      There is one below.

      • Matheus Bombonato

Thanks, my RSS Reader didn’t catch it :/

  • Auto-update via About screen doesn’t work. Intended?

    • SuperTommy

No problems here. Sometimes you have to reload the about page.

    • Leonardo Gomes

Autoupdate usually is rolled out during a day or two.

      • SuperTommy

Thought that was stable only, because I’ve noticed it there, but never on developer or beta channel.

  • Kev87

Two opera versions on one day??? What’s happening :)))

    Your browser isn’t supported

Wider browser support is planned, but YouTube Gaming is Chrome-only for now.

    Get Chrome

It was working before too. Why would they do this?

    • L33t4opera

Just in case, that you don’t know about it already, you can change the UA string to e.g. this one: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/46.0.2490.52 Safari/537.36If you want to set it up just for the domain, you can use an extension, e.g. the DomainUserAgent, or the Custom UserAgent String.

    • Rafael Luik

      Why would they do this?

It’s Google, expect the worse! β„’

    • Lacedaemon

Well it’s working fine for Firefox, so again, O is out of the game…

      • Great news. Something finally works in Firefox.

        • Lacedaemon

Regarding gaming the difference in quality is chaotic compared to Opera.

          – use of NPAPI flash for quality watching, like Presto
          – support for Steam Broadcast from day-1
          – gaming youtube working fine
          – not blinking when reading gaming forums (which most use a dark background)

    • BK

we are tracking this now, thanks. We hope for a fix this week.

      • Seems to be working now.

  • Owen Paijo
  • Andyx1975

This beta can Not play Songs on Google music. Works After the initial Installation of Opera … But as soon as i Reboot the PC, IT does not work anymore.

    • L33t4opera

Hi Andy, what is your Linux distro?

  • catup

    • Leonardo Gomes

I guess they are on a seminΓ‘rio or something like that.

    • Marcin Mitek

As Leonardo said, most of Opera engineers attended a seminar this week. Some of us are already at work, some will be back on Monday.

[Bug]: Try editing a thumbnail’s name on SD and the thumbnail shows just plain address after doing it, refresh fixes it. Not happening in Stable 32.

    • Marcin Mitek

Thank you, already fixed similar issue internally, DNA-44659 for a reference.

  • Raylan Givens

I start falling in love with Opera. Solid UI and Chrome’s speed. Vivaldi already managed to make the UI clunky and slow… Only them could make a browser that is built specifically to avoid this, to be slow! Please, don’t start bloating the browser with old features. Keep it as clean as possible!

    • ayespy

In a way, I guess I have to say I agree with you. Opera doesn’t need to spend any more effort on features. There is now an excellent option (with what I find to be a snappy responsive UI) for people who miss old Opera 12 and want a feature-rich browser with a very flexible UI, and it’s under aggressive development by seasoned and competent developers.

Now there is a clear choice, and Opera no longer needs to chase features. That is now being taken care of.

    • Lacedaemon

LOL Vivaldi is in an alpha stage, and in my system it’s not slow at all, although sometimes buggy which again is to be expected when in alpha stage. When it will be finalized and officially “out”, -and it’s improving very fast btw- then we ‘ll see if your accusations are true or not. Also it’s another thing to bloat the browser and another one to not have a keyboard shortcut for cloning a tab for example, the no-option of re-arranging the position of the extension icons and other minor but tremendously helpful options/features that Opera ignores for almost 3 years now…
