To further diversify their mobile video demand, Digital Turbine has partnered with Opera Ads to unlock new demand opportunities.

In pursuit of more diverse and global demand for DT Exchange, Digital Turbine’s mobile ad monetization platform, it turned to Opera Ads. By partnering with Opera, they could leverage the extensive mix of advertisers on Opera Ads’ marketplace in key markets including Europe, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, and beyond, while harnessing Opera’s advanced technology and expansive reach to unlock greater revenue potential.

Solution

Following a successfully swift and agile campaign setup, activation, and optimization, the partnership focused on scaling various regions, initially targeting the US and subsequently expanding to 16 countries globally. Another key focus area was improving bid rates together. Through the utilization of their Bid Optimizer, DT Exchange efficiently identified relevant requests and optimized bid rates to precisely target traffic for Opera advertisers. Additionally, manual optimizations were conducted to meticulously remove irrelevant traffic and further elevate RPM.

Impact

The collaboration with Opera Ads has yielded significant results for Digital Turbine, including an increase in the quality of demand available for monetization and further optimization opportunities. With new brand demand unlocked, Digital Turbine worked with their direct publishers out of Europe to increase the adoption of Consent Management practices, which unlocked high-quality ad campaigns from the likes of Revolut, Ikea, and AliExpress. Moreover, Opera’s continuous integration of new partners, particularly in Europe, has also provided ongoing growth opportunities for DT, especially in the video format.
