প্রতিদিন চারপাশে কত সমস্যাই দেখে আমাদের মন খারাপ হয়, ইচ্ছে হয় কোন এক যাদুর কাঠির ছোঁয়ায় সব যদি সমাধান করা যেত। আমরা যখন এমন চিন্তায় আটকে থাকি, ঠিক তখনই কেউ কেউ একটু বেশি আর ভিন্ন কিছুর মাধ্যমে অবদান রাখছে এই সমাজ আলোকিত করার জন্য। বদলে দিচ্ছে অনেক কিছুই। আপনাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করবে তেমনই ২টি সম্ভাবনার কথা, অনুপ্রেরণার গল্প আপনাদের জন্য সামনে নিয়ে এসেছে অপেরা।

আজকের শিশুই আগামীর ভবিষ্যৎ। কিন্তু এই ব্যস্ত শহরে অনেক শিশু পথে-ঘাটে, ট্র্যাফিক সিগন্যালে অল্প কিছু টাকার জন্য সংগ্রাম করছে। স্কুলশিক্ষা থেকে বঞ্চিত এমন শিশুদের মাঝে শিক্ষার আলো পৌঁছাতে কিশোর তার বন্ধুরা ২০১৩ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠা করে “বিদ্যানন্দ”। প্রায় ২৫০ শিশুর মাঝে বিনামূল্যে মানসম্পন্ন শিক্ষা পৌঁছে দিচ্ছে, এজন্য নিয়োজিত আছে বিদ্যানন্দের ৭০জন সেচ্ছাসেবী। সকল শিক্ষা উপকরণও বিনামূল্যে সরবরাহ করছে, সেই সাথে দেশি এবং বিদেশী প্রায় ২৫০০ বইয়ের সমাহারে তৈরি করেছে একটি লাইব্রেরী। এভাবেই সুবিধাবঞ্চিত শিশুদের বিনামূল্যে শিক্ষা প্রদান করে তাদের আলোকিত ভবিষ্যৎ গড়তে সাহায্য করছে কিশোরদের বিদ্যানন্দ, এটাই তো  #DoMore

এখনও বাংলাদেশে অনেক অঞ্চল আছে যেখানে শিশুরা বেড়ে উঠতে চায় বই পড়ার আনন্দ নিয়ে, কিন্তু সকলে কি সেই সুযোগ পাচ্ছে? তেমন কিছু শিশুদের জন্যই তিন বন্ধু আবদুল্লাহ আল নোমান, ফয়সাল হোসেন শুভ এবং মনোয়ার হোসেন শুভ নোয়াখালী জেলা থেকে ৪৫ কিঃমিঃ দূরে দেবীসিংহপুর গ্রামে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছে “পথ প্রদর্শক” লাইব্রেরী। যেখানে শিশুরা বিনামূল্যে বই পড়তে পারবে, সাহিত্য চর্চার মাধমে নিজেদের আলোকিত করতে পারে।  ঠাকুরমার ঝুলি, রাতুলের রাত, মায়ার কাজল এরকম সহস্র প্রায় ৩০০০ বই নিয়ে সমৃদ্ধ পাঠাগারটিতে রয়েছে বর্তমানে ২০০ পাঠক। এভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়া শিশুদের সামনে পথ দেখাতে সাহায্য করছে “পথ প্রদর্শক।।এটাই তো “#DoMore”

অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর পথে নিয়ে যেতে এভাবেই তরুণরা প্রতিনিয়ত কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। আসুন আমরা সম্ভাবনার কথা বলি, সবাই যার যার যায়গা থেকে চারপাশের মানুশজনের জন্য একটু বেশি কিছু করার চেষ্টা করি, অন্যদেরও অনুপ্রাণিত করি। আর গড়ে তুলি সম্ভাবনার আর সমৃদ্ধ বাংলাদেশ। এটাই হবে  #Domore। বিস্তারিত ভাবে জানতে অপেরা বাংলাদেশ ফেসবুক পেজে পুরো ভিডিও গুলো দেখতে পারেন।

In order to see a change in the world, someone has to take the initiative to step forward and do more. But, how does one take the first step without any resource or knowledge of where to start from? To answer this question, Opera brings to you two inspirational stories that have enabled an entire generation of children to help them take that first step.

Back in the year 2013, Kishor took the help of his friends to equip underprivileged children with the power of knowledge. To do so, they established ‘Bidyanondo‘ which is currently run by more than a hundred dedicated volunteers. So far, they have provided education to about 250 students and enlightened them with 2500 books belonging to local as well as foreign authors in their Dhaka branch. 

A lot of kids in Bangladesh today can’t afford to go to schools and gain knowledge only by reading books. To solve this problem, around 45 kilometers away from the district of Noakhali, lies the story of ‘Poth-Prodorshok‘ a library that changed the lives of the locals of Debisinghapur. Thanks to the initiative by Abdullah Al Noman, Foysal Hossain Shuvo and Monawar Hossain Shuvo, the library currently has a collection of around 3000 books enjoyed by its 200 members. For us, the efforts of Shuvo, Noman and Monawar is #DoMore.

The efforts of these change-makers shall be enjoyed by the upcoming generations as this gives them an opportunity to stand up for themselves and do something remarkable for the society in return. This is the core message behind #DoMore – make the best of your limited circumstances and give back to the society.
