The Opera browser for computers has just received an update. We have redesigned it to make it more friendly, intuitive and engaging. This version Opera will beat all its previous versions with its start up speed.

Speed up on slower devices

With this version we introduced the quickest startup time. Opera on your computers will now start up to 70% faster. This would speed up the browsers on all machines especially beneficial for devices using traditional hard drives.

To make it load even faster, you can go to Settings > Show advanced settings > Delay loading of background tabs to give Opera an additional boost during launch. Tabs will reload only when you click on them.

Restyled Discover feature

Discover is a feature that serves you the most recent content from your region. You can also customize it by choosing topic-category or country. The Discover feature has been redesigned to give a nice and modern look.

Typed history synchronization

We have been working on improved synchronization, with additional options, across your devices. This release synchronizes typed history between your desktop devices. Now you can get to your history faster.
